Inktober! 10|01|2022 - Gargoyle

Gargoyles are sensitive creatures!

Last time, each drawing was basically "and-then-a-monster-showed-up", and I wanted to include more of a story this time around. I had to go back to the drawing board on this one, 'cuz the first draft was pretty visibly rushed, and I think I made the right call. I'm still drawing 'em on 8.5 x 6.8 paper, and I think my coloring/shading's improved, but the expressions are a little off and I think my shading's a little too high contrast. Like, it's mostly harsh blacks & whites with little-to-no grays. I'm really happy with this month's start, other than it being pretty late in the day.

Still, anything's better than last time.
